thomas j boretskiDate: November 23, 2006, 5:52 am I would like to know why my interest rate is so high/19.99%. Can I gat a lower apr if not I will have to do a balance transfer to my other credit card.
Answer:
If you want to lower your APR, you can ask your bank to do it for you, on condition that you have been accurately paying off your debt and have been a cardholder of this bank for a considerable period of time. Usually bad credit card offers have high APR, but might have improved your credit and now worth having a lower one.

Answer:
Maybe you are applying for the wrong credit card. There are some cases when you can be denied a credit if you choose an unproper credit card. If you have never had a credit before, then the most suitable card to get is a secured credit card or a store credit card. Applying for them, you have more chances to be approved. If you have no credit as a result of bankruptcy, there also certain cards issued by certain banks (Orchard, First Premier Bank)to apply for. So,apply for the right credit card. If you don't, you can be denied and it will affect your credit history on the whole.

consueloDate: November 27, 2006, 4:57 am why is it that you can't give me a cridet card. i have nothing to do with what my ex-husband did. do's this afect my abelity to get the cridet that i need. thank you for your time.sincerly Consuelo Gamboa
Answer:
When you apply for a credit card, your creditors want to know your creditworthiness, that is your ability and willingness to repay in full and on time. They may inquire about your job, income, social status and even your place of living. If they deny you a credit, there must be sovething in your personal data that discourages them. So, maybe it's not your husband that affects your ability to get credit but some negative information in your credit file. Talk to creditors and find what is wrong.

jamzDate: November 28, 2006, 2:02 am Does credit counseling services lower credit score? Do they really help people lower credit card rate? Whats the pros and cons about it?
Answer:
Credit counseling really damages your credit, and they may help you to lower your APR and reduce the amount of payments, but they all need to earn money for their help, so it is not the easiest way to solve your credit problems. If you really in trouble and have no other way out, you can apply for such kind of help, but if there's an alternative, avoid them.

J. Michele AldayDate: November 29, 2006, 6:38 am Are there any credit cards with $5000.00 to $1000.00 limits given to people with poor credit
Answer:
Actually, the credit limit depends not only on your credit score, but also on your annual income, so the credit limit of the credit card is set by the bank for you personally, depending on several factors.

Andrea GarciaDate: November 30, 2006, 12:06 am I was sent a Exxon/Mobil cash card for $20.00. Can I also use this card at a Texaco, BP, Shell, or Chevron location? The closest Exxon/Mobil gas station is over 200 miles away from where I live.
Answer:
It is the bank isuuer of the credit card that should have provided you with this information. I guess, you can't use the card at other places, as it is co-branded with Exxon/Mobil. But you should still ask the bank. If the credit card was pre-approved, you can deny it, if you applied for it the cancellation will damage your credit.

Shawn BoeckmanDate: November 30, 2006, 11:40 pm Is there a way to know which credit bureau\'s the credit card companies pull from when you apply for a card? Which credit cards pull Transunion and which pull all three? I know my transunion score is much higher and I have a providian card that I know they use Transunion and I got a great card from them a few years ago. Is there any other company that uses Transunion?
Answer:
You can either ask the bank about it or surf the Internet for this kind of information. It is very important to keep your credit reports identical, so you should add the missing items to the reports that lack them, and remove the incorrect informaiton wherever it is. Thus you'll never have to worry about your such things.
And one more thing. Some banks pull all three credit reports but base their decision on the worst of the three. Best, Manager of Immediate Credit Card Care Service User Name:
